Background:
I've always been a lover of movies, especially of the horror genre. I grew up with Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers on the TV. I was even Freddy for Halloween when I was 4 years old. We used the nut pickers as the claws, and put them through a glove.
Since about a year or two ago (around the time I got the internet at home) I developed my fascination with reading the buzz and hype of upcoming movies and relaying the news to anyone and everyone that would listen to me. At the message boards I went to, you could commonly find topics about movies most people had not even heard of yet.
Aside from my love of movies, I enjoy tons of music ranging from The Ataris to Eminem and Paul Oakenfold to Danny Elfman. Music, at one point, took up nearly 40% of my hard drive. Videogames are a lesser pssion of mine, and it's not because I don't love videogames, it's that I can pay 4-8 bucks for movie ticket and download music for free, but I don't really have the money to pay 30-60 bucks for a game at this point in my life. I am a Sony lover though, don't worry, there are Nintendo Nazi's on the staff as well. During the NFL season, you'll probably see quite few comments from me about close calls, bad calls, or just complaining in general. (I'm a Cardinals fan
).
More towards my personal life now, and not my personal interests.I just graduated from High School (Class of '03) I attended Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona where I was mainly known as a Drama Freak. I signed up for drama at the end of my sophomore year, and quickly got myself involved in the department the following year. I landed a role in an Advanced Acting play as Ed in You Can't Take It With You (A good movie too.) I auditioned and was accepted into Advanced Acting for my Senior year and had roles as Charles Dickens in A Christmas Carol and Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream. I was also in two one act plays as Michael in Bang Bang You're Dead (That is one hell of a play, I suggest you all read it, it's about school shootings.) I was also Romeo in a shortened version of the play for our Utah Competition. So, why am I mentioning all this drama stuff? Well, I am attending MCC (Mesa Community College) this fall to start towards a degree in theatre. I hope that one day I'll be good enough to star in at least one major motion picture. I know it's a long shot, but I won't give up. I also plan on minoring in journalism, which would be nice to have since I plan to be working on this site for years to come.
