From what I gather, a PM is a way to talk to someone individually. How do you send someone a PM though?

go to their profile...and hit the "pm" button o_o

Probably a few different ways, but the easiest is probably from someone's post. Find a post by the person you want to PM and click that "PM" button at the bottom. That will take you to a page where you can write and send your message to that person, automatically filling in the "to" part of the form since you came to it from that person's post. If you go to your own PM page with the link at the top of these forum pages, you should be able to do it from there, too, but you'll have to fill in someone's name once you get to the send PM page from there.
