It depends on what people you're challenging, I would probably accept your challenge considering I can usually get a full combo with 260+ perfects

Yeah, it does depend on who you're challenging. If you challenged a newbie like me, no, I wouldn't accept it. I'd obviously lose so there's no point. I'd reject it if that were an option or just let the challenge sit and rot. If you challenged someone closer to your skill level, perhaps AceOfSpaces13 here, they might be willing to accept it even after seeing your score. If you go for a real easy win, people will run. i think you need to find people who you think you can beat, but may be close; those are the people who will think the same about you and be willing to take the challenge. BTW, if you're afraid that people won't accept challenges you issue, you could try to get others to challenge you instead.

P.S. -- I have no intention of sending or accepting any challenges at all right now.

Dronak, I just accept whatever the hell comes to me, because I'm the kind of person that accepts all challenges. Of course I lost 600 credits like that, but a long time ago I won a bid in the billions, which Synth took away from me because he thought I got it from the hacker, another story that went on a long time ago, long, long story. Anyway, the moral of this is, I accept everything, it works for me because I'm better than 99% of the community. I'm not saying that in a braggy way, because 90% of the community is either not there, left, or just suck because they only played like 7 games.

edit: Woah, Dronak, being around you so much has tought me to type more, its happenening more and more, and I cant help it. Oh well, it cant hurt.

It's not like you wrote a novel there. But if I write a fair amount and you reply to that post, chances are you will write more than usual just because I've given you more that you can reply to.

But anyway, yeah, if you're that good then accepting all challenges will probably work out in your favor more often than not. And your stats sig shows that it has for you, at least in win/loss terms. But for newbies like me who can't FC some easy songs let alone pass the hard ones (just get through them), it's kind of pointless to accept challenges from most people. They're all better than us and if we know for a fact we're going to lose, what's the point in accepting and throwing away our credits? I'll stick to just earning credits from games I play rather than gambling them in a challenge, especially since I'm still so bad compared to tons of people on the site.

Dronak, your rank shows that you are better than 70% of the users. My rank shows that I am better than 100% of the users, but I assume its rounded up and its really like 99.8%, assuming there are around 300,000 users on this site, which is about right. The point is you dont have to be any good to be good(if you know what I mean), because I'm certainly not better than 99.8% of the people that still play. Maybe like 95%, but not 99.8%.

PS The post above your is a novel to me, meaning what you write is a novel and a sequel(sp?) :P

Right, ranks are determined by points, not skill. While more skill helps you earn more points, you don't *have* to have a lot of skill to get a good rank. Just play a ton and even a small number of points per game will add up eventually. I'm not sure you can get a good indicator of skill from the simple stats available. Average points per game doesn't seem to work because it's like 243k per game for me and 156k per game for you and I'm certain you're a better player than I am. I guess you just have to figure it out by talking to people around here, read their posts and brags and stuff. And to get back to the challenge topic, once you do have an idea of how good other players are, you'll be able to make a better guess at who will accept your challenges.

No I just try to FC songs a lot and if I miss even one half way through I purposely fail, it saves time, it just looks bad on the stats.
