    Global/Judge offset?

I'm fiddling with my FFR settings, and I'm considering what to do about Global Offset and Judge Offset.

I right-clicked the speed/mods line on a song's score screen and got the following:

    -0.373 (+/- 0.449)

What should I do with this info?

This show that you're hitting very late : -0.373 is quite a lot, you should try to keep it > -0.05.

From there you have two options: lowering your speemod to have more time to read the patterns, or if you absolutly want to keep a hight speed mod, you can set your song offset and global offset to -0.3 or -0.4.

I personnaly think the first option is the better because if you pay attention, you can see if you're hitting late perfect with the arrow receptor and adjust your speed in consequence, and with offset on, it will not be possible

    anymore.

Uh, there's nothing wrong with having a non-zero offset, that's why offsets exist in the first place. All it means is that it's suggesting an ideal judge offset of -0.373, assuming you're using 60fps or higher. If you're on 30fps offsets get rounded anyway so it means you're closest to 0 judge offset.

I have it set to 120FPS, so I'll make my Judge Offset -0.373, thank you.

Right-click the number of your speed and any mods on the window after you finish a song; you should see a little screen pop up.

I'm using 120fps, though when I decided to experiment with half a dozen songs and see what my suggested offset was, it varied from -0.373 to -0.02.

Should I probably just set it at a certain number -- maybe even just leave it at 0? -- and keep it there for the rest of my time here as long as I'm using Flash Player 9 standalone and FFR R^3?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm being a bit paranoid/excessive here, but I just want to be sure I'm not falling into bad habits in the beginning.

Sounds like you should leave it somewhere between those two numbers, perhaps -0.15? Then just leave it and start to get comfortable with that offset.
