    Hitting Triple/Quadruple Notes?

I think I've seen this mentioned somewhere in regards to Stepmania, but my keyboard doesn't seem to let me hit certain combinations of triple notes (Specifically Left+Up+Down and Up+Down+Right.) and thus I can't hit a single Quadruple note either. I just tried to play Rainbow Road and it was maddening.

Is there any way to configure my keyboard so that I'm able to hit these notes or something? I've used about three different keyboards in the past and all of them had the same problem.

    Go here: http://www.microsoft.com/appliedscie...explained.mspx
Find a mix of keys that let you hit 4 keys.

Try using keys that are all in different rows and columns.
I find using Q and S on my left hand and down and right arrows on my right hand works if you tilt the keyboard a little. Pretty ergonomic and absolutely no ghosting on any keyboard I've tried it on.

Oh god. I see the problem now but I feel like I'd basically have to totally relearn how to play the game to get used to playing with keys that are spread apart in a linear fashion. So thanks for the explanation, but it kind of doesn't seem all that worth the trouble for a non-perfectionist such as myself. >A>

No worries, you can still play WASD style, you just need to fiddle about with your keys to find what works. Go into Notepad with four random keys (which you would be comfortable with playing with), and press all four simultaneously. If they all recognize, then you can use that combination.
