hey everyone! i'm fairly new here. legacy is my favorite genre because i used to play FFR a long long time ago but forgot my username and password. so i decided to create a new one. my RL friend who plays FFR told me that should take it up again, so i did and this time around, i want to be great at it! i just heard about index and spread playing styles and what they mean. i do play index style but want to get into the spread style and check it out. the highest level songs i can do are "difficult" level 7. but i hope to change that as the weeks go by.

Overall rank: How you fare against others in the amount of total points your have accumulated
Average rank: How you fare against others in the summation of ranks on individual scores.

You remind me of someone I used to talk with in the Ingame Song Info thread back when the discussion there was still rather lively and the avmiss glitch was in full swing...I believe his name was Dronak. Even your avatars are similar.

In any case, welcome back! The reason spread is recommended is that it's a jack-of-all-trades style that lets you have a decent chance at doing well on a wide variety of files. Index and one-handed styles have more specific needs but tend to do better than spread at files that play to their strengths.
