What is it about humor that makes it so....so....(fill in blank) in life? I deem it an absolute nessesity in life, but what is about humor that makes it so? Or, what is it about humor that doesnt make it nessesary?

Humour is what sets our mind free - it is a way that people can relax; since it de-stresses people, they enjoy humour.

The style, however, is of their own personal choice.

humor does play a very large part in the western world. but their is places that humor is not a part of life. in fudal japan it was very rude to laugh at anythign. just as one example

Agreed. And we all see work as a neccessity of life, even though some cultures don't even have a word in their language for work.
Or boredom for that matter. Some people don't understand the concept because they are more concerned with living their lives then trying to find stimulus to fill in the nothingness.

I think it's funny when people get really shocked or disgusted. That's my favourite humour.
