I also like the dry sort of humor in the Hitchhiker's books

I LOVE THOSE BOOKS!

Anyway, I'm...really pessimisstic/cynical/sarcastic whatever you want to call it, I've been called all three. I like a lot of that humor, but when I'm with my friends and stuff I tend to lighten up on that and stick with more general humor. You know, just dumb jokes and stuff. And Puns. Puns are always good (my dad tells them constantly).

I'm not kidding. Like, if we're having chicken for dinner, you can expect to hear the following from him:
"Don't be chicken to try it."
"Just wing it."
"I have a bone to pick with you."
"This is a meal that can really stick to your bones."
"Don't be plucky."
"This meal is eggstra good."
"You must be yolking!"

etc, etc...gets annoying after awhile, precisely why I do them.

im funny in certain ways. sometimse im like real stupidly funny, or im boredly funny. like i say stuff in a boring way but its funny. i dont find alot of things funny unless it deserves laughing it. im really funny during school. ok im done. (<--phrases like that ppl find funny)

Yay! Python is the best, except I hate people who talk about them and have only seen The Holy Grail. That's not even there funniest movie. Goddamn people. Flying Circus was the greatest show in all of the world.

I love Hitchhiker's guide. I would describe that particular form of satire as tragicomedy, cause some of it is funny, but only because it so true and we realise how faulted/condemned/limited we are in our condition :P. Kinda like Waiting for Godot and Rosencrantz and Guildenster, except less rational and more philosophical.

Humor to me is randomness......if someone says an organized joke to me, chances are I wont laugh unless they made it up on the spot and/or doesnt make sense.

For all of the people who read the Hitchhiker's Guide books, I suggest you read the Red Dwarf books by Grant Naylor.
It's a similar humor, but in my opinion, funnier.
