A planet that has had relatively steady climates over the past 4.6 billion years suddenly warms up a bit when humans start industrializing the world.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SCIENTISTS WHO WASTED SIX YEARS AND BILLIONS OF TAXPAYERS' MONEY TO DISCOVER THIS.

Good thing is, nobody cares. Nothing they can do will reverse what has happened, or slow it down, or whatever. So really, why worry about it.

Plus, if there ever is any effect, we won't be alive to see it. And we won't be alive to see
all of the damage global warming will do. All we can do now is predict.
And who the **** cares about people in the future? They will just be mad at us for ruining

I'd have to agree with you about taling care of the environment. However, I think people with the "who cares" attitude shouldn't die, maybe just get their asses kicked. Point is, we can help reverse it by watching how much toxic gas is put into the atmosphere. Given this is not an easy task, but we should try harder to start somewhere on fixing this problem.

The mental state of this nation is in crisis. What a sad day it is, one where we still have not broken free of our mindless conformity and lack of compassion, but act simply for the sake of living, without cause and without reason.

As for the article itself...well, that is only confirming what I have known for a long time. There was ample evidence decades ago. However, the priorities of countries are controlled by green paper bills.

That 1 mil is a bit more of a stepping stone than a final outcome.

We may not be tree-huggers, but we'll become more efficient with our emissions. It gives us hope if it doesn't slow down global warming.

Im all for saving the environment but the reason i might say that i dont care is because i think i have given up hope with our race. I guess i just dont see how it makes too big of a difference if only like 1/10th of the population tries to be environmentally helpful if the other 9/10ths make things bad beyond repair. Fact is, most of america doesnt care about the environment and because of that i dont see much hope for us.

It's definately not too late. Too late is when the ice poles will have completely melted and all the beaches will have disspeared. Too late is when people will die of cold or heat by thousands.

I don't think you realise this can happen in 50 years. This means unless you commit suicide or die for any other reason, you'll be living this too.

There won't be a gap between two generations in which no one will know anyone from the previous era. The new generation, those who will eventually be affected by the floods, eruptions, winters, storms and all the other effects of global warming, will, at one point, live with the people of our generation. This means they will feel responsible for what's happening too.

Who cares? We care.

Maybe you can't reverse it, but you can stop it. Global warming is a normal and natural process that happens over thousands of years. It's the planet climat shifting from very cold to very hot, and vice versa. If, let's say, we were to stop polluting in one day (don't get excited, I'm aware this won't happen), the world would most definately be safe from any danger and decay.
