Who thinks that there is such thing as a flat surface? I know i don't.

    Re: Flat surfaces

What the hell kind of CT topic is this?

If you're referring to an atmoic level, then no, nothing is perfectly flat.

    What's to discuss here?

k I started writing a gigantic satiric paragraph agreeing with the OP but then I decided not to because it was sounding way too lame

        Re: Flat surfaces

If you want to consider "flat" to be a surface in which a perfectly round object (relative) does not fall, then there are many and it does not take a 0 degree angle (relative, again) to accomplish.

If you want to consider "flat" as every atomic particle being the same height across the entire surface, then you'll surely never find such a thing.

Squeek, you forgot to mention "on a frictionless surface" for the former. Perfectly round things can stay still on a slightly slanted surface if the opposing force is great enough.

Meh. I hated taking physics anyway.

And thanks to our good friend Lil' Werner, we can't pinpoint anything's position exactly, so your question is moot anyways.

yea a flat surface would be completely frictionless and evenly level to the earths gravitaional pull. so in that case no, no there is not XD
