    Literature/Creative Writing Forum

Personally, I'd like to see a forum addition along the lines of a Literature or Creative Writing forum... Considering how much I write, and how much I'm sure other people write, I think it would be a welcome addition to the forums. It would a be a place for people to post creative writing, literary criticism or thoughts on literature. The creative writing would get peer input to help shape the way of the writing, while literary critiscm and thoughts on literature can go on and on. I for one am finding more and more symbolism as I read.

It could also be a place for the discussion of the performing arts... Stage, in particular. There is already a media forum, but the discussion of plays by thespians in non-existant. I figure most of the people in CT could help shape the Literature/Creative Writing forum, considering how knowledgable most of you are in the area of science and math. It could be a good opportunity to branch out and see what the literary side of life has to offer, as far as contemporary novels, plays, musicals and original works of fiction and nonfiction go.

Just a thought. Probably not going to get a lot of steam, but I thought I'd make the sugguestion.

    Mal

PS: I also think it might be a good place to pick apart and discuss song lyrics and the meaning behind them. Maybe I'm just a literature geek, or maybe I'm just tired, but I have no way to finish this sentence.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."

"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

    My new novel:

    Maledictions: The Offering.

In all honesty, I do say I would have to agree with Mister Mal here. This would attract many writers and such and bring in some very interesting stories for our FFR Patrons.

Actually FishFish and I were discussing something along the same lines as this. I do think it is a good idea. I was thinking of unlocking the "Jewpin and Kwik Storybook forum" and changing the title. But it up to Synth. Or it is up to LD ro Chardish to undermined Synth...but LD is away.

I think this would be amasing but i also think that shouldnt limit people to just Writtings, they should be allowed to subbmit poems a lyrics as well...that would be heavenly to many users

Edit : didnt see the part about picking apart lyrics until after i posted. However, Not only could we pick apart famous lyrics but people post them and let others decided the meanings becuase any poem or lyric can be taken in millions of ways even though the auther only intends on one, it would be very insiteful to see what others gather from your writtings.

I think a space for pure creativity would be great...but there's also the problem of people who hate/dont understand creativity and the arts, coming in and completely ruining the creative atmosphere of the forum by leaving stupid comments....
Other than that...i think its only fair that the right brain dominant get a forum to themselves....the left brain dominant already have one (really hope i got the right/left thing right there)

I thought that forum was unmade. You know, all the threads moved to deadzone and the forum deleted. Is it only visible to staff right now or something?
