I'd rather be pitied and alive to hopefully one day rise to the point of not being pitied than to die and never get that chance.

Yes the thing is your not depressed. the thing bout depression for me is that i think that life sucks and everything is pointless. Considering the fact that im picked on at school makes me feel like im nothing doesnt help much. After that ill normally think how much better the world would be without me. then i start thinkin bout my death till i attempt suicide. At the moment i havent killed myself yet but i feel that someday i will and thats scary :$
well for most the need of suicide, and drugs is created by a feeling of emptyness, or that they want a soulution that will ultimatly get rid of depression

I have never had depression. I know what heavy loneliness feels like though, but I'm not the type that gets depressed.

I feel a possible cause for depression is not being accustomed to being lonely. It grows on you.

that made me lol. (sorry, not trying to be insensitive).

As for me, I think part of my problem is that I'm a little too logical. All of a sudden I'll just feel extreme sadness at random times, for no apparent reason. Sometimes it'll last for an hour, sometimes for a few days. I live a pretty decent life (had some rough times, but nothin too bad), and I feel sometimes these 'mood swings' are uncontrollable. I'm not going to put myself on meds, because for the most part I don't believe in them, and I don't think anything I've gone through is that bad, or that out of the ordinary.

And no, I'm not suicidal, as the s/n might indicate.

There is a very real difference between "clinical deppression" and just being very sad. It has to do with some kind of chemical imbalance in your brain, not producing enough of somthing or another, or your neurotransmitters not being able to communicate properly. You cannot just snap yourself out of it and fix it with better self-esteem, and it doesn't have to be triggered by anything that is going on in your life. I'm nowhere near an expert on the medical science that deals with depression, but, from personal experience and professional treatment, I DO know that much.
I am not allowed to be happy for more than a half an hour. Otherwise strange things can happen.

Dolphins make me think of Miami, Miami makes me think of the football team, and that reminds me of, Ace Ventura. LACES OUT! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO PUT THE LACES OUT!!!
