    Judgment (goodbye)

All right, being a 14-year-old Christian automatically makes me a young Christian.

I opened up an Oswald Chambers book to where my mom had been reading this morning, and it told me to take a look at Matthew 7. It says, "(1)Do not judge, or you too will be judged. (2)For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged... (3) Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?"

Says Chambers, "The Holy Spirit is the only one in the proper position to criticize, and He alone is able to show what is wrong without hurting and wounding. It is impossible to enter fellowship with God when you are in a critical mood."

So there you have it. You may not have heard of me, because I still haven't found a good avatar, but those of you who do know that I am among the most critical people on here. But on top of that, I've called myself a Christian. That is wrong for me to do because I have not done a very good job representing other Christians, failing in the simplest and most basic of our principles.

I don't criticize people off the internet much. Coming on here gives me the opportunity to write, and when I write to others, I seem to cause a lot of damage. That’s why this is my last post here, at least until I can make God proud on the forums. I'm going to remove the plank from my eye, and enter the fellowship I'm longing for.

I can only beg forgiveness from God and everyone I've criticized here because it wasn't my place at all to be doing that.

Goodbye everyone. Peace be with you all.
Joy is not the absence of sorrow but the presence of God

It's refreshing to hear someone of your age speak so profoundly. Good luck to you with what ever journey you decide to take in your life.

Glad to see some Christians actually want to act like Christians around here. May you find peace and success.
Btw, I'm a Christian too. Just remember, we all fail and we can't stop it. God will always forgive us.

        God bless.

          Ummmm yea...

Don't think of other Christians. You only do what you do for YOURSELF and YOUR beliefs. If this is for you, then good, if it's what you believe in. If you're doing it for others, that's not religion.

I don't get it. You seemed like a really intellegent, well-informed and well written guy. You're leaving...why? Because of some crap in the Bible? This is CT, man. You're supposed to judge and write your opinions. And if you're leaving because you're afraid of what, hypocricy, then that's bull.

I'm sorry. I can't accept that. To be quite candid, if that's really the reason you're leaving, not only can I not understand nor respect the reason, I very much misjudged you, as I always saw you as a very clear headed thinker.

Of all of the Christians I hate so incredibly much, you are NOT one of them. It's nice to see that you spoke your mind in a calm and positive manner, and not making people come to your beliefs. It's people like you who give me hope for Christians.

You are living proof that religion does more to separate people than bring them together.

                        Good luck in life.

Why cant you remove the 2x4 from your eye with us? You calmly apologized for whatever mistake you made (which takes some balls, and i for one am impressed). Why cant u simply keep what you have? You leaving only says ur a compulsive quiter. But as you so eloquently pointed out i am in no position to judge. Whatever you do, may you do it with the grace of your lord.
The gods envy us. Our short time on this world makes everything more beautiful because we know it won\'t last. They have eternity, We only have now.

I think otherwise. Matthew also says to love God with all your hear, soul, and MIND. Why not learn more about God and the world he gave us in the only way we know how, which is to ask and to question. Typist, if you still read the forums, read this. I will say now that I love you as a brother in Christ and I also love your movement to further yourself in your pursuit of God, but I always thought that being critical here was actually doing God's work. To help people along with the ultimate form of worship in learning.

That's my opinion. That's how I believe. You may believe differently, but I'm not JUDGING you for it. I'm considering it as a possibility. I guess that's the sort of loophole in the statement. You can think about something without judging it. I'll pray on it. Thank you so much for the pondering.

May the Peace of Christ be with you
