About the hover cars. . . the reason we don't have them yet is the same for every technology that has ever been developed and for every great architectural achievement: it looks impossible or impractical and we just need the time and money to research it and figure out a solution. Anything that could be done easily was done immediately and the only way to get the truly great and innovative stuff to work is through a ton of research, and research takes time. That's why we don't have hover cars, or hydrogen cars, or high-quality electric cars. It just takes time to do the research.

the hovercars could be quite practical, you just need to use them in a different setting. If we got fuel problems sorted out we could probabyuse massive hover traind to move vast quantitiies of goods across oceans and fields without having to stop and send it somewhere else every time we reached a new obstacle like a body of wter or a lack of roads.

And for fuel, you could put solar panels on top of the cars to power machines that separate water into oxygen and hydrogen. The hydrogen and oxygen could then be used in some way shape or form to power thrusters that allow trhe vehicle to hover, and since there's also water in the air (and also quantities of oxygen and hydrogen) you could also have a devicce that pulls that in from the air as well.

But looking at how small some planes are getting and how those commercials keep airing telling you to become a pilot our future is in the air, not on the ground for mainstream transportation.

What do you guys think will happen with genetics?

I think they will start engineering animals and plants with special functions.

I dont think we need fuel for the hover cars... My dad has this little toy, it a little top type thing turned side ways and rest up against a horizontal peice of plastic, the rest of the body foats there with magnets... Without that piece of plastic that top would just muve forward until there is no magnets under it. So if we just put magnets in the road all the energy will be in the road which we will pay for threw taxes and we wouldnt mind because we are saving tons of money by not using gas. We would have to have a battery inside the car of course to make it change dirctions and give us air condition and stuff, but the that will be electric.

I'd say the only reason this woiuldnt work is because it would cost so much money to do that to our roads and it would be done all at once so the few people that buy the cars when they first come out would only be able to go to certain places. So no one woiuld buy the cars and they would decide not to do it.

Oh and i think gays will take over.

                    "Virtual Internet"

Where we can plug ourselves into the internet and actually browse as a virtual user (like Futurama's interpretation of the internet) and enter sites to do whatever.. play FFR as a virtual user, go to the stockmarket, whatever.

But, much more likely: We screw ourselves over, and burn all our natural resources, and some angry foreigner nukes the US because Bush declared war. Or Bush nukes a country... whatever.

Awesome car magnet idea... I've thought of that before.

Also, instead of trains, we have huge conveyor belts that run 24/7
the stations will be giant and circular and the belt goes around it at the same speed so you can just step off and as you walk toward the center of the disk you're moving slower and slower.

Thanks. But actually, I hope they find a way to harness Nuclear Fusion. If they ever get that done, you can watch the need for Gasoline disappear.

I would like to make light of that hovering car discussion. I, too, have wished that there were hover cars or flying cars in general. I later came to think up a theory on why they will probably never have that.
Look at how many accidents happen with cars, now imagine if cars were flying in the air... not only might people on the ground get killed, but also the cars might fly into buildings! Imagine one day you're eating, or sitting down on your bed, and all of a sudden, a car flies into your living room.... on the 20th floor! We all know that there is many drunk drivers... imagine a person drunk in their flying car, he thinks he's on the ground, then he opens his door, only to fall over a thousand feet to the ground lol, game over for him.
It would be cool to see flying/hovering cars, but I doubt it'd ever happen.
