    Area 51

i just saw a documentary of Area 51 on Fox... interesting.

    some interesting facts i learned.

    - The government often denies its existence
    - Several employees there have suffered inexplainable radiation-related physical harm
    - Strange objects are seen flying over the area
    - The people working there are authorized to kill and injure anyone that tries to enter.
    - There are sensors placed around it that can smell human body odor, and have cameras.
    - Guards patrol the perimeter in SUVs.
    - Experimental jets have been test flown there since over 30 years ago.
    - There are thought to be aliens kept there.

    Any thoughts on Area 51?

ive often wondered if area 51 wasnt just a cover so that people would look there while they did their more important stuff elsewere.

it would make more sence to do the testing over an island somwhere.
Towles may be harmfull when swallowed in large quantities

that's a good point...they could have some weird island out somewhere weird that's not even on any map... rather than some spot in the middle of their own country.

I believe it is a confidential facility where the military tests experimental jets and other stuff.

        Aliens? Probably superstition.

Either that, or as IronMonk pointed out, it's a distraction for the public.

The claims of aliens showing up only started after the detonation of the nuclear bombs is WW II.

Which can mean one of two things: If they have existed and known about us all along, they are fearing for our planets safety, as humans are prone to self destruction of body and environment.

Or 2: The nukes put some bad shit into the air which is making the thousands of people hallucinate about aliens.

            Either way, we're fucked.

              I couldn't care less about Area 51.

I don't believe any word I hear about it, and I don't care if they're housing aliens or top-secret things, nor do I care if it doesn't exist at all. Governments always hide things, so if they are hiding something there, a bunch of people have determined it's something I shouldn't know about.

hooray for Area 51! i'm just glad i dont live anywhere near it. all that radiation :\

but yeah, it exists. decades after they test things they release the videos to the public. i've seen a documentary on lasers, and they tested them out there in the deserts. they made lil RC airplanes and shot them down with a massive laser, and they eventually made a laser that could fit onto a plane (like, a huge cargo plane, but still. the 1st ones were like half a mile wide...i think) and they flew jets at the plane and shot missiles at it (while people were onboard, mind u) and the plane eventually was able to shoot them down. they also built a space-based laser cannon to shoot down ICBMs, but "they never launched it" (hehe, yeah right).

in the video, there was an interview with people who lived nearby, and they said they always saw stuff flying around, and they'd randomly blow up and stuff. so yeah, some people may have seen the lil RC planes getting shot down, or the laser plane, and thought it was an alien spaceship. those people are retarded. if there were really aliens that could get here, either we'd all know about them or they woulda been like "dude, those humans are a bunch fucktards, let's not go around here." and then a greedy TV executive alien says "just look at all the dumb stuff they do! we could make a hilarious TV show out of this!" and thus he sends a bunch of stealth camera crews to film us being dumb. and if that's the case, they would be highly trained, smart aliens that could evade us and not be seen by drunken rednecks.

You used to be able to climb a huge hill (named Freedom Point, oddly enough) and look at the groom lake facility without getting shot at by guards. Then the government extened the boundry there, I wonder why...

I have to agree with every one that's says it's for testing jets. It could also be military development of some sort or another going on in there and that's why it's so heavily guarded.

yeah, it's just military tests, and the US doesnt want another leak of secret weapons like with the A-bomb. the russians didnt make their own atomic bombs, they made our bombs and put their name on it. of course, spies were rampant back then, but the government isnt taking any chances. if the russians knew we almost had the ability to shoot missiles out of the sky with lasers, they may have tried to nuke us before we were safe. perhaps there is some mega powerful thing that we could unleash on our enemies hidden in Area 51. if our enemies knew about it they may attack us preemptively, which would suck. therefore, Area 51 is off limits.

I am now almost sure that it's just to get attention from other countries' spy planes etc. There is no way they'd have their crap laying out there, weather/enemy satellites could just hover over and take some nice pics showing details of only a few inches across.

The U.S Government experimental facilities are either on some weird island or underground.

I've been to Area 51. There is jack shit out there. The people that live near the area, confidentially, tell you that the stories about objects flying overhead are baloney.

It was a government site for nuke testing once upon a time. Perhaps there is still lots of radioactive wastes and materials out there, which would explain the high levels of security.

Listen. I'm sure if the government is doing anything important in area 51, we'll find out about it in about 30 years. Just be patient.
