I played DDR on the PS2 and Guitar Hero on the Wii when I was younger. I didn't really continue playing until when I started this account. I found out about FFR from a streamer my friends recommended (Quizzle was their stream name but I don't remember their FFR username). Michaelman73 (my friend, same account age if you want to check) and I played together a little but he eventually got bored or overwhelmed by the difficulty. He stopped playing but I continued.
