Just dropped marissa off to her first day of school. She'll be 5 in march, and it seems like only last year I was spoon-feeding & changing her.

What are the things that remind you guys that you are getting old?

Hmm signs that I'm getting old that I have been noticing lately:

Firstly, I grew my first string of white hair LOL. I'm sure it's due to a high level of stress in college. I hope I won't have another strand of white hair in a while hahaha. Speaking of college, the thought of entering the work field in less than two years, particularly in academia where I plan to pursue, is a very scary thought. I am also invited to attend a national mathematical conference with many adults to present my project to the mathematics community, so I guess that is another big step for me. Just looking back at all of my childish memories made me realize that I'm too old to do the things teenagers would find fun. I'm kind of glad to have a new set of interests since it made me realize how much I have matured since then. Frankly, I find these hobbies much more enjoyable than partying nonstop, etc.

It's kind of hard for me to say since I'm not in that position to be considered as an adult yet, but I am making steps there.

Less than two months until I'm 18 and an "adult" Mainly I joke about being old. Can't imagine what you're really feeling.

For me it is mainly just the shit new music those ****ing teenagers listen to, coupled with standing around with marissa at her school thismorning with other parents in their mid-late 30's and older with a child the same age.

As for other things, I still feel pretty young :P

How come almost half your posts that I've read lately involve you pointing out how much older and more mature you are than the rest of the community? This particular post didn't belittle everyone else by calling everyone immature (like a few of your other posts did), but I don't know why you've been sticking around when you've been expressing such distaste for the community nowadays.
