lol i'm not being a suckup

you might not play the game but a lot of people appreciate not having lag on the game and unlike you some people like playing the game

edit: maybe you wouldn't care (well it wouldn't affect me too much since i play legacy engine) but i'm sure it would affect a lot of other people who probably have no idea about this whole thing
i mean in the circumstance the engine really does get taken down (which it didn't, thankfully) also if people really didn't care nobody would make a thread about it
