If you seriously blame Obama for not vetoing NDAA -- congrats. You're the type of dumbass the Republicans rely on to keep voting them into power.

i couldn't have said it better myself

bipartisanship has forced our politicians into a competition for seats in congress, senate, oval office, etc.
not only are the people they serve on the back burner while they duke it out, but they use the people as a gauge to figure out who is winning the fight.

i would also like to touch on the issue of "why people realize it's ****ed up and won't change." i have noticed over time that news stories, legislation, the economy, etc. instill fear in people. especially the right wing. the right wing is so dependent on fear for it's success that i have given it a name, "the white fear"

the white fear is, to put it simply, fear of the inability to maintain the status quo.

for instance, the white fear is being afraid of not having enough natural gas to power your heaters during the winter because legislation is limiting the industry.

for instance, the white fear is homophobia, the aversion for being stared at the same way you stare at women

for instance, the white fear is that if marijuana were legalized, everyone would be lazy potheads and no one would work.

it goes on and on and on. the white fear has been around as long as propaganda has. it has been utilized as a tool by the rich people to turn the middle-class people on the poor people. on the internet, the white fear is dissipated. the internet is a threat to their most useful tool, and so now there is SOPA and PIPA

how does the white fear work? you can find out yourself, just observe how Karl Rove makes it work for his interests:
