A very close friend of mine just purchased a Pump It Up (PIU) machine. (PIU NX Absolute is the current mix. It will be Pro 2 and Fiesta EX in the very near future.)
Here is a small picture dump (5 pics) of the pad cleaning. This machine has never been opened and was rarely played on due to it's location.
What we did exactly,
- Cleaned 8 panels (the 2 center panels have messages inscribed in the dust.)
- Vacuumed under all the panels and sensors.
- Cleaned ALL 40 brackets.
- Vacuumed inside all 10 panels.
- Lifted dust and dirt out of weird places.
- Tape-Modded all 40 sensors.
- Cleaned and vacuumed under 2P bar.
- Removed duct tape and leather from the bars. (idiots)
Thought this might be interesting to some people to see the inside of a pad. We'll be ripping the machine apart later this month, cleaning the entire inside and what-not. (Shout outs?)
P.s. Special thanks to OxOregrets (my girl, obv.) for taking the overly-large, half decent quality pictures. And wiping all the brackets alone and buying lunch.

dude that's awesome. Wish I had one of those. I have to go the the Theatres and pump quarters to play on a machine. lol
