I can't get over he can only get 21 years in prison for this, he took (I think) 96 lives. So wrong.

I hope everyone in Norway can slowly start to get over this, what a terrible, terrible thing to happen.

I don't know Nordic law, but I typically even the most mild countries have exceptions for massive crimes against the state like this. I read he faced life but hey, the internet is sometimes wrong.

After I found out a old classmate and friend I grew up with were at the scene of the massacre and lost many of his friends (he survived) this got far more personal.

He originally was given 1 years but the charges might be changed to attack on the humanity instead of terror, that will be 30 years, but still no lifetime x_x

Carol Sandbye, a spokeswoman for the Oslo police, said on Tuesday that prosecutors would consider charging Mr. Breivik with crimes against humanity. That offense carries a maximum penalty of 30 years, compared to 21 years for the current charges of terrorism.

Likewise, that new charge could result in some sort of preventive confinement, which seems to be like an invasive parole for life.

He could be locked up indefinetly if the officials suspect that he is a threat to society after his 21-year term ends.
