they are partnering with Skype to bring fb users in browser video chat..

I somehow knew about this like a year ago. Maybe it was just an idea being thrown around then but I've been excepting it. I think it won't be anything great. The facebook chat to begin with has too many problems. I can only imagine how bad video chatting will be. Orrrrrr maybe I'm just being pessimistic. What I want to know is if they will allow group vid chatting.

My connection generally isn't fast enough for video chat in skype to begin with, so unless facebook tries a lower bandwidth approach, this looks like a pretty cool feature that I won't be able to take advantage of.

It could be pretty cool, but they definitely need to overhaul the original chat code itself before they begin tinkering with video chat.

Also I tried to facebook call someone and it took a while before either of our cams would even show up. On your screen it'll show that you're broadcasting, but on the other it'll say that you don't have a cam until randomly it decides to behave. Shit.

These calls just can't compare to G+'s Hangouts.
