Random advice

Seeing how "well" my weekend went... I thought it appropriate to give all people out there a piece of advice that they should carry to their graves...

ADVICE:
Never go 9 hours of your way to watch a bunch of 'tribute artists' paying tribute to Elvis Presley because your uncle is performing in it... It has negative energy written all over it... If you really want to know how bad it was, ask because I don't feel like typing it all right now...

before we leave, my aunt calls to let us know that her father-in-law is in the hospital with double pneumonia <sp?> so we have to pick up my grandmother and take her with us... as soon as i hear this i think: this is not gonna be a fun weekend, because that's 4 hours out of our way, which extends the trip to 12 hours... as soon as we get into missouri, it starts raining. we're talking about pouring down sheets of rain. my sister and i are in the car with my uncle, and the rest of my fam is in the van behind us. the van breaks down 2 miles from the hotel... we've never had problems with this van... so my uncle drops me and my sis off at his room and goes back for everyone else. they get there, and it turns out they didnt hold our room because we got there too late and there weren't any vacant ones left, so we all (8 ppl) had to share the same hotel room... we go to breakfast the next morning and they're already putting everything up. so the only thing we get is cereal and donuts. and these arent the good donuts, either. they're the dry, muffin-tasting donuts with barely any sugar on them. well, we were trying to find a car rental place that rents one way. the only place that does that is hertz.... there is no hertz in Branson Missouri!! so my dad and my uncle had to fix the van themselves.... fantastic... i decided i wanted to play a nice, relaxing game of solitaire, so i whipped out the laptop and opened solitaire... only it wouldnt open... so no relaxing game for me.. then, we were supposed to be packed and out of the room the next day at 11am... we didnt leave til 2pm... ok... so we stop every hour or so to check the transmission, radiator, etc. they were able to patch it... but nothing can get OUT now. so that has to go in the shop today. we didnt get home til 6:30 this morning. and my brother had to get ready for school as soon as we got home because he had to take a final exam.... bleh... the only thing positive about this weekend is that we had running water and i got to shave my legs... that was my wonderful weekend...

that's the scary part... all i can say is i'm glad to be back... never thought i'd miss texas so much...geez

were i live it suck nothing to do but mall and Parks

at least you have a mall... our nearest mall is like 30 to 45 minutes away
