    Quantum Entanglement disproving God?

Some researchers at some laboratory (I forget the specifics) were able to "teleport" a particle about 3 feet using the concept of Quantum Entanglement (link, for those of you who don't know what that is). This project has rendered the concept of teleportation as plausible, but only on the atomic level.

If they advanced this technology far enough to be used on the human scale, we face a problem. Using this concept, if we were to teleport a human, they would be completely annihilated atomically at the first point and then reconstructed at the second point using completely different particles. This problem poses two questions.

    1. Would you keep your same conscience even though your new brain is made from completely different particles and you 'technically' aren't the same person?

    2. If you did keep your conscience after the transfer, does that mean we have no souls, thus, disproving God?

    1. No

    2. Firstly, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The person appearing on the other side of the teleporter would feel as if his consciousness was preserved perfectly even if he was completely new with the same memories/physical makeup/etc, but the initial person who entered the teleporter would be annihilated and would tell no tales.

And secondly, you can't ever disprove God or a soul. But that doesn't mean we have good reason to believe in either one. People would just argue that the soul somehow transported along to the new body or something.

That doesn't prove anything -- it's a warped type of logic (modal logic) that says "a truth is something that is possible." Obviously some things are always "possible," but when you invoke a logic system that rests upon screwed up axioms like that, you can literally prove anything to be true as long as it's not contradictory.

The whole thing goes out the window anyway because I could easily use that logic to say "If it's possible for a God to exist, God exists" and "If it is possible for a Flying Spaghetti Monster to exist but only if there is no God, the Flying Spaghetti Monster exists." I can logically posit either one of these as "true/possible" and yet at the same time I can't have both be true because they contradict. It's all a bunch of silly BS.

I have something completely pointless to say, but that stuff is way over my head. Though if you did teleport, would you be still atomically correct? You wouldn't want to come out on the other side with your arm coming out of your ass or something.

What if you couldn't reconstruct the human conscious but you could for other living things? Wherein, the teleported person was just a lobotomized husk. Does that help prove a soul?

Could you then mathematically prove the soul, compensate for it, then teleport that, too?

Either way, I'm not volunteering to go first.

It is useful for quantum information processing, however it does not immediately transmit classical information, and therefore cannot be used for communication at superluminal (faster than light) speed. Quantum teleportation is unrelated to the common term teleportation - it does not transport the system itself, and does not concern rearranging particles to copy the form of an object.

Work in 1998 verified the initial results,[4] and in August 2004 increased the distance of teleportation to 600 meters using optical fiber.[5] The longest distance yet claimed to be achieved for quantum teleportation is 16 km (10 miles) in May 2010 by Chinese scientists over free-space with an average of 89% accuracy.[3] In April of 2011, experimenters reported that they had demonstrated teleportation of wave packets of light up to a bandwidth of 10 MHz while preserving strongly nonclassical superposition states.
Looks like you'll never really be able to teleport in the traditional sense, seeing as this is only able to carry one type of data and no others. Also looks like whatever your 3 foot claim was, was a joke compared to what this article is stating.
