    Jack Thompson thread

Scientists have known for years that playing violent video games causes players to become more aggressive. The findings of a new study provide one explanation for why this occurs: the brains of violent video game players become less responsive to violence, and this diminished brain response predicts an increase in aggression.

playing music games like FFR has greatly increased my reading speed, and comprehension. Along with increased hand eye coordination, compared to people who don't play any rhythm games.

There are additional measures to consider.
In other words, while this experiment suggests one conclusion and is consistent with the results of related studies, this is by no means the last word on the subject. Jack Thompson will, of course, be jumping on this tidbit as part of his crusade, but the more rational thinkers among us will recognize that the jury is still out on this topic.

Still, pretty cool article. I like how there's radio buttons on the bottom of the page that automatically crank out an APA or MLA format citation for that article, so I'll probably be going back there.
