Forum Makers Guide

Well, i've seen a lot of people making their own forums a lot, and i decided to make a guide of what i like in forums, and you should use if your going to use them.
1. No more proboards. I've seen enough grey blackground with yellow banner things. I dont think we need more of these.

2. Get a real host. If you're planning to make forums, i recommend post production. (www.postproduction.com)

3. Use phpbb. Thats where the partys at.

4. Make your forums diffrent. Dont just make 6 topics that are
General Talk
FFR
Stepmania
Anime
Introductions
Garbage bin

5. Stop making everyone mods/admins. We dont need a lot, unless you have a lot of members. If there are 3 members they dont all need to be admins. Also, you should have some mods/admins, just to keep the forums in check.

6. Dont stop updating. You stop updating, people stop coming, forums die.

7. If you promise to do something, do it.

8. Do something original. Example: Ld has his blogs. Arch0wl has his stepfiles. FFR has FFR.

9. Dont ban everyone that spams.

10. Dont make too many rules, but make some rules. (unless you have a lot of members)

11. Dont make all your members from ffr. A lot of forums do that you know.

I never said we needed them, but people will make them. If they do, they dont want them to suck.

I have my own forum. It has 60-70 members. It is for my NS clan and I don't think half of my members are from FFR.
