I always thought tass was a pretty decent guy, with a pretty funny sense of humor. And he's smart for taking the opportunity to make a profit from something where he literally has to do no hard labor at all, except chill behind a computer screen and make videos for games or whatever he did. Smart f*cker if you ask me and I've never actually been to thirdstyle except when it was just a forum when FFR was still down. I bet it doesn't compare to what Velo has done to the game though, that's for dam sure

I thought Tass was just being lazy- not all out ditching FFR... Ah well.
You can see his business mindset begin here on FFR. On his profile, the only interest listed is "Anything to boost FFR's publicity" or something similar. If he actually was commercialist instead of just clever, you'd spot ad banners on the borders of FFR, would you not?

At least we know we're in good hands, right?

Yea. We used to have banner ads on the tops and sides with ridiculous things that didn't even cater to the audience. (Car ads, insurance, and a few rumors of inappropriate material.) We also had google ads on the words which is annoying as hell. On his blog he dictates about the campaign on how the site could make money including the idea to be sponsored by a larger company.

The point being not that it was all his master-evil plan but that he's not around anymore because he's in a project that involves contracts and business models. One might think it entirely possible to be a member of BOTH sites with one being at a casual level but since this one isn't about paying out anymore then pftt!

Me too. But as far as I see, tass seems pretty laid back now, maybe more than he was before. But, he did quit FFR due to some stuff.

still didn't like the fact that he was very close minded and didn't know much about good new-gen simfiles and basically left everyone hanging for several months without mention or giving power to someone who wanted to do shit (see rebirth getting permabanned and me and patashu getting demoted).

Rebirth basically retaliated after no simfiles were produced or judged for months on end. He decided to judge a bunch of files himself, and made an "official" list of accepted songs to be released. None of this had Tass's involvement, approval, or knowing (because Tass was away from the site for lengthy periods of time). When Tass found out that Rebirth was "abusing" his moderation power, he permabanned him. Although honestly, I thought Rebirth had every good intention and motivation to keep the game active. What does that leave you? A power struggle, more or less.
