this is really the first chance I have had to use wireless tethering on my phone since my router is out of course and to be honest it's working out quite well. Has anyone really used it on their phone? I have an Evo 4g by the way.

Yep. Just make sure you charge while tethering or expect your battery to be eaten up in less than an hour.

You dont need to charge when you carry extra batteries with you.
I have an extra battery for my Droid X. Only costed $15. I can rooted tether for a few hours on a single battery. So two of them....

I'm still running on my phone, it's chillin' on my power mat on the other side of the house. Would you say that's actually pretty decent for a cellphone?

It's kinda nuts how far phones have come since I got my first once, damn Razor was a p.o.s. Rooting this phone was well worth it and I have surely gotten my money out of it.sigpicComment

With the rebate and all I got for the phone, it wasn't too expensive to be honest. Also, there is three people on my plan and the bill a month for unlimited everything is pretty cheap. It's only like 50 some odd dollars.sigpicComment
