I've heard of people spending over $1k in the dealer's room alone so it isn't completely unheard of. Last year I spent about ~$300 on merchandise ($400+ if you take into account pass, food, etc.).

IIRC the parking at TTC is free however there's no overnight security so you shouldn't leave anything valuable in your car.

Parking at hotel lots costs money/
