I remember my right arrow key popped off once during a game of Hyper Pressure, and that was actually my first foray into the left-down-8-6 setup I use today. It was just the cover that popped off (similar to AsphyxZero's F12), but everything else still works. It's just rather uncomfortable to press.
Nowadays my up and right arrow keys on this Dell are chipped at the edges and corners where I tended to hit them, and I think my left arrow is sticking a bit.

I've never broken any keys on any computer, however, on my old Dell Latitude D600 laptop, I played FFR so much, there were actually BURN MARKS from where my palms sat, the plastic there would get so incredibly hot that it began to melt/blacken.
This is what's happening to my N key. Its paint/coating is wearing away, and the key itself is permanently on a flatter plane. Now it only takes a small touch to register my N key.
I looked at the original post and had to look down at my keyboard to see what letter was missing. Fail.
Also, my laptop kb is becoming unresponsive relatively quickly. I use external keyboards to play. I keep my original keyboard, even though I don't use it. It's my "first stepmania keyboard." I haven't broken anything, though on both spacebar is very wobbly and I need to hit it somewhat hard to use it. Not sure what it has to do with rhythm games though...
