How could you not know if you were banned or not?

Usually, if you banned, it would say "You are banned, please contact this boards administrator"

well, the only thing I did recently that may have gotten some people mad is the thread about the suicide, but that really isn't a banable thing. i mean, sure it was really insensitive I guess, but so? I've done things a lot worse (Arch's girlfriend / cancer) and I didn't get banned for that...

well if I don't go through a proxy it says forbidden. if I do there's not problem

neither IE nor firefox work (both give the 403 forbidden/access denied error) and it's not the configuration because my other server (behind my router) gets the same thing.

Well I don't consider the cancer thing worse than the suicide thing, I was just way too attached when you said that.

Anyway, a 403 error probably isn't intentional, and it's probably a bug or something... PM Synth.

when relating it to somebody's suicide. Synth seemed really sincere about it on the front page, so if you're banned, 5 bucks says it was him. Whether or not it was bannable is one thing...but you have to admit, Vx, it was crossing the line. You just don't make jokes about stuff like that. And with your background, you don't have the liberties that the rest of us can take when it comes to borderline gallows humor.
