    FFR, quick help, plz? Math/test tomorrow/lost

    I have an algebra (II) test tomorrow.
    I'm at a loss.
    Comepletely drew a blank on addition/subtraction problems.
    I know that if I figure out just one it won't be a problem.

    Here's an example:

    (4/3z)+(2/z)=(5/6)

    Found the LCD, 6z. Then what?

    Thanks.

      Here's how I'd solve it:
      (4/3z)+(2/z)=(5/6)
      Multiply all terms by z.
      4/3 + 2 = (5/6)*z
      Divide both sides by 5/6.
      (6/5)*(4/3+2) = z

          common denominator is 3x after multiplying (2/x) by (3/3)
          You should then have (4/3x)+(6/3x)=5/6 which is equal to (10/3x)=5/6
          Then multiply both sides by 3x to get it out of the denominator and you should get 10=(15x/6).
          Multiply both sides by 6 to get 60=15x

          I think you can solve it from here.

          Oh, and I switched the zs with xs because variable z confuses me and should never be a variable >.<

            Did you try integrating? :/

            This is how I'd try it:
            (4/3z)+(2/z)=(5/6)

            Multiply everything by 6z.

            8 + 12 = 5z

            20 = 5z

            4 = z

              Haha. I swear I'm not stupid. We're way ahead of this, but it's showing up in a test tomorrow and somehow it got flushed out of my brain.
