Hey, everyone! Miss me? Yeah, didn't think so... >.<
Anyway, I felt like posting something here, and I'm in a nostalgic mood. I got to thinking about my very first computer, but couldn't even remember what it was other than that it was a Tandy that could run Windows 95.
After about an hour's worth of searching, I discovered that it was a Tandy 2500 (apparently a 386 clone?), complete with the original VGM-220 monitor and the matrix printer, too. It originally came with Windows 3.0, but my uncle somehow rigged it to run Win95. Had VGA graphics, hard disk was around 40MB, and I believe the RAM was 4MB...
So I asked my grandparents about it earlier today, they bought it at RadioShack in late 1993 / early 1994 for "three times what that new Windows 7 computer cost us".
I first got my hands on it in 1996, when my grandmother bought a "blazing fast" 133Mhz computer. She had no need for two machines, so she gave the Tandy to me, at the time, a four-year-old.
I used it until late 2000 / early 2001. My later grade school teachers poked fun at me for turning in homework assignments on dot-matrix paper.
One thing I significantly remember was turning it on one day shortly after Y2K, and the date reading "Saturday, October 1, 1988"
Those interested in pictures, these are the closest ones I could find. They're actually of a modified 1000RLX, but it's similar to my grandparents' 90s office setup. The monitor is the same model, and I think we even had ugly blue speakers like that. Link: http://www.oldskool.org/guides/tvdog/RLRLX.html ... So, yeah, a bit of a run there. I know some dumb troll's going to post "cool story bro" or something like that, but anyone else, post what your first computer is. I know there's people here older than me, and I'm excited to hear...
tl;dr: Post a description of the first computer you ever used.

Of course, I also tinkered around with a spattering of Demos as a young boy, because they were easy to access.
