Guys. Guys. I'm sorry, guys. I have failed you. ...Let me explain.

When Synthlight disappeared, all of us regulars had different theories of where he had gone and what he was doing. Some people thought he went traveling. Some thought he was hiding from organized crime. Some thought he was on the run from the law after "The Noodle Incident." I didn't know what to believe.

I Flew to Veridian City to ask a very old mentor of mine what he thought. He showed me how to catch a weedle like he always did. I used to think this was inspiring, like if you just remember your beginnings, you can focus and accomplish anything you set your mind to. Now that I think about it, I think the guy just went senile.

I was distraught, so I decided to take a short holiday on Cinnabar Island. I particularly liked Surfing up and down the coast. ...That's when it happened.



I couldn't believe it! There he was! I don't know what was possessing him, but he didn't look like the Synthlight I knew and loved. He was brandishing two Water Guns and looked like he was going to Attack me from the Sky. I was scared for my life.

But I had one trick up my sleeve that I thought would finally bring an end to all the questions.




























"I have you now, Synthlight," I thought. "Once I catch you, the nightmare will be over. The sea of confusion and doubt that has plagued this land will finally be put to peace."

My excitement grew as I heaved the Master Ball towards Synthlight. My aim was true and I would truly be the Master to set aright all the problems of FFR.





























But it was not to be.

"Wild SYNTHLIGHT fled..."

I couldn't believe my eyes. Just as soon as he had appeared, he had vanished. My Master Ball floated gently along the water, empty.

I don't know how this happened. I'm sorry FFR. I'm sure he'll come back to us when he's ready.
