    Looking for a program

I apologise if this is in the wrong section, I wasn't really sure where else to put it.

I am looking for a program where you can design a CD title, but not the case cover, the CD itself. A program where you have the ability to design your own logo on the CD, which is then printed on some special paper and stuck onto the CD.

But I'm just looking for the program to help you make the logo, not the rest. I'm not exactly sure what this is called so I have no idea where to start looking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I'm not specific enough in my demand, then just ask me for more details. Thank you.

      Re: Looking for a program

I've already tried googling it, but all the programs i get are designers for the CD case, not the CD itself.

I also have no idea what this type of thing is called so trying to search for it on google is a bit harder. I've tried before posting this thread, but to no result.

EDIT - Looking into this lightscribe thing, that's exactly what I needed.

when you dont know what you're looking for the answer often becomes harder to fine.

also just because you know doesnt mean he does which is why he made this thread. so no need for your comment raj

Lightscribe is pretty cool. Just wish it wasn't so expensive to buy the cd's/dvd's. There should be some things you can buy from office max that are circular stickers to put on cd's.

Yeah, my new burner has Lightscribe support, but I don't see myself using it until the actual discs become a bit cheaper.

Either get Lightscribe, or go to Staples and look for something called "CD Sticker Paper" (at least I think that's what it was called).

You just stick it in your printer, print something out like a regular picture, and peel the circular sticker off, and put it on your CD. The only hard part is lining the picture up just right. >_<

A case of 15 sheets or something like that (4 stickers per sheet) runs about fifteen or twenty bucks...

Usually that paper has a website where you can download templates.

I've gone with the lightscribe option since I got a new computer a week ago and it has Lightscribe with it.

Thanks for all the help guys, appreciate it.
