also, if you are homeschooled, youll get a better education. instead of the teacher having to deal with 40 other kids in ur class yelling out shit and asking questions, the teacher only consentrates on you. but htis also makes u ahve to work a lot harder, being that ur mom is watching tv right next to you while u take an exam... lol

In my experiences on the intarweb, home-schoolers generally have poor grammar and spelling.
Not all of them, mind you... just a lot.Comment

Well what I meant to say is that I consider 1500 people to be friends or more so aquaintences, meaning a lot of people know me and I get along with everyone, I don't really know the exact number. And don't worry about offending me or not, I know you wouldn't do that and I'm not easily offended.

I know what you mean, Spec. I have a lot of friends. 1000? No. But I'm one of those people that's just kind of everywhere. Few people don't know me, and even less don't like me. I don't hold grudges against anyone unless I have substantial reason to, and I'm open and friendly with everyone. But I wasn't when I was younger. School taught me how to make friends and be popular. Once I found my niche, it all clicked into place.Comment

I have a few friends who are totally sick of school, so instead of just home school, they are going to test out of high school (which is extremely easy). You get your diploma, and then you go to a comunity college and take the classes you need to be accepted to a college.
Oh, and home-schooling doesnt nessecarily give you a better education. I had a couple friends who were home-schooled for a year and when they entered public school again they were held back a grade.Comment

LOL...oh man, what a waste of time. But as for myself...there are lots of times when I feel I would like to be homeschooled, when you feel that your social life isn't really clicking or that it's practically non-existent. I think, though, that I would stick with high school. The thought of being solely responsible for my high-school education is frightening.Originally posted by jewpinthethird

Or perhaps it wasn't and people are jealous and need to find a reason to rip on me. There is no better response to say than "no.", meeting your friends at high school or interacting with them at high school really does not make such a fucking difference than meeting them elsewhere.Originally posted by OmeganitrosOr perhaps his reply was just retarded...
As for dating, fuck that shit, like 80% of this site consists single freshman or under and out of all people anti is NOT the person to be fucking saying it's the most important part.Comment

I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.Comment

there's no replacement for the massive level of social interaction in high school. there's no way that you will be able to have such an atmosphere outside of school. Much like in a job, in school you have to interact with many different types of people in many different situations. Outside of school you can just exist within a comfort zone, and never have to leave it.
edit: I just realized that you said that people were jealous of you. where did you get that from?Comment

I went to public school until the 6th grade at which point my parents decided it was better for me to homeschool. It can be better in a lot of ways than public/private schools, but only if you're extremely dedicated. I speak from personal experience when I say that the ineternet can be entirely too distracting. I spent a year and a half online BSing my schoolwork snd lying to my parents... *shakes head* Oy vey...
But Dayniebuger already knows this... as she is pregnant with my bigfoot bubblegum child.
Er... yes, I forgot to mention that I am currently enrolled in a junior college...
Junior college = teh shiz. It's cheaper, it's not as stressful, it helps build some real world experience... and it's closer to my house. ^^;Ignorance is bliss.Comment
