    Smoking Side Effects in Animals?

With all this talk of how dangerous smoking and stuff is, I was wondering if house pets could get second-hand smoke and get cancer and stuff from their owners. Sound possible?

This isn't that much critical thinking, because it could easily be researched unless already known. I'm pretty sure they would suffer the same side effects as a human second-hand smoker.

I think it's true that miners would take Canaries down in the mines with them, because they would sing and fall over when the toxin levels in the air started to get dangerous or something.

You know, that just the kind of crap I bet News reporters would report. "In a recent study, scientists say smoking in front of animals and pets can give them lung cancer."

And then I would go, "WTF, How much money did they spend to research THAT?"
And then Lassie would go, "WOOF!"
And then I would go, "What's that you say, Lassie? Three Billion Dollars? Oh noes!"

My cat acts so weird when I come back inside from smoking, he bolts around the house or acts in other weird ways.

C104K3D, let's look at that situation for a moment. Let's say you were the cat. You smell smoke, you look around and notice you are trapped. You don't know where the flames are so you scramble and look for an exit. Not so wierd.

I come inside from toking, and my cat's not afraid of the smell, he follows me and wants to get pet. Later I'd be watchin tv or something and hes running around the house.
