Wait til the bomb has 5 seconds left and shoot your friend then wait til 1 to shoot yourself. Criminal should suffer the explosion. And if by some miracle he lives it will teach him to not do whatever he did again.Comment

And for the record, the way this goes down is as follows:
The criminal realises you two are friends, figures their chances are decidedly not good
The criminal tries to get the gun off you to kill the two of you, you waste your bullets kiling or trying to kill the criminal
Either you kill him, in which case you and your friend die in the explosion for failing to kill 2 people, or you don't kill him, in which case you're out of bullets anyway and all die in the explosion for failing to kill two people.

What type of gun? What type of bullets? How thick is the door? What kind of lock is used? Does the bomb still explode once the person leaves? With that kind of sealing, wouldn't you or the other people suffocate within 24 hours? What type of bomb? How easy is it to disable the bomb? Just some questions. =P
I'd just shoot the criminal in the leg, shoot beside my friend, and say I have really bad aim. Nothing was said if I missed. So I didn't shoot myself or my friend. When we escape, we can go to the cops about the whole situation. They'd be able to send in doctors/nurses/medics/shamans to recover the criminal. Cops could then disable the bomb, if lucky, and everyone lives. Reason of healing the criminal is so my friend and I can't be tried for murder.

Then I'd wait for ~23 hours 30 minutes before shooting myself. Preferably more, if it had a timer.
