I had genuine respect for Billy Mays as a person. I'd looked into his life a little bit after watching a couple episodes of Pitch Men and he was the embodiment of American work ethic. He did the only thing he knew how to do to make a living despite it keeping him away from the family he loved so much.

I am genuinely saddened. Honestly, the beard I'm growing right now was because I planned on going to a Haloween party as Billy Mays (my younger brother was going to go as Vince from Shamwow and we were going to stage a fight).

My eyes teared up when I found out. He has a little girl, and a very loving family. Many people's lives depended on Billy Mays, through Pitchmen etc.

Well I mean look at the damn forum you're on. So few people here are going to really understand and appreciate everything Michael has done over the years. If you're like 15 years old, I doubt you are going to care about MJ much.

Not saying Billy Mays isn't deserving of respect either -- he's certainly contributed much as well, but it's an entirely different ballgame, there.
