All my friends that had iPhones switched over to the G1. I have an iTouch though with 32gb. It works really well and you can put homebrew on it too

Alright; how is the iPod Classic more advantageous (beyond hard drive space)? Also, I'm sorry, but screw the G1. The G2 is where it's at. It's much slicker and very cool.

well to me, i dont like ipod touches because it cant hold all of my music and such. I have about 70 gigs of music and movies and i cant fit it all on the touch

Well, I guess that makes sense. But disregarding hard drive space, I think the Touch is superior. Of course, hard drive space doesn't matter much to me; I have much less music/movies and am more interested in applications.

If I can handle the Touch's keyboard (albeit after a steep learning curve of frustration that still hasn't quite leveled off yet), the G2's is doable. Even though a physical keyboard would be much better, I think I prefer the G2's sexiness...yeah, I'm shallow. However, if I were getting one of the two, I would probably go for the G1 as it would be much cheaper unlocked (I'm on AT&T); I don't think I would regret it either...the G1 is cool enough. There's not really a bad choice that you can make.

ipod classic... the iphone and itouch are so overrated and dont even hold that much. Not to mention way over priced

And I would say the iTouch. Long contracts for the iPhone suck, also most people get a new phone every 3 years or so, so after 3 years you'll have an old phone built in that you don't want. Oh, and if it breaks...yep, good luck getting it replaced

I just sold my 8gb unlocked iPhone for $200 bucks yesterday on craigslist.

Typing on it is ****ing gay. As long as you dont get the 3g, you will be fine... its ****ing plastic. I had the 2g, which was actually metal and nicer.

Just get a regular phone and get a laptop and bring your ipod shuffle/nano/classic with you.

If you dont care abut the phone aspect of either one . . .

get a PsP. Better IMO in almost every way other then cell phone enabled.
