Seriously...I dont understand why people get so offended. Everyone has their own point of view right. I mean I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but if this holiday has some special meaning then to those who were offended by this, I'm truly sorry but that wasn't my intention.

I participated in a parade march today, and there was a long speech about Memorial Day.

While I do honor the people that work in the military, I still can't put away the fact that there is still killing happening around the world.

Over 6 billion people in the world that can't get along. Makes me have hundreds of opinions from different perspectives.

Well, I won't bother to list them all separately seeing as how they are many and not all the information on them is recorded but here are the numbers and wars.
(No Particular Order)
WWI - 7 Family Members Served, 4 Died
WWII - 5 Family Members Served, 2 Died
Vietnam - 12 Family Members Served, 9 Died (7 of the 9 dead were on the front line)
Civil War - ? Served, 2 Died (Union Soldiers)

This is the half of my family that is American. Since it is an American holiday, I will disregard the Canadian side for the time being. They weren't in any big or official wars anyways.

Nifty Tidbit:
My birthday is Flag Day. My mother's birthday is Independence Day. My brother's due date was President's Day. We have a rather patriotic family. =)
