I'm betting Wings in 6. I know Pittsburgh's dominant but Detroit can beat young teams as we saw versus Chicago, and they know how to win, and especially against Crosby and Malkin's crew. This will be an exciting series, but I'm not expecting any blow-outs.
I am either Cold Kitten or T-Force.
You will never be able to tell which being I am.
In fact, which one am I now?
I'm terribly disappointed that the finals are just a rematch of last year. Last year was so boring I didn't remember anything about it, and I bet this year will be the same. But back on topic, I'm gonna have to put my money on the Wings to win it all. They proved against the Hawks that they have the firepower to take out a young team even if they have injuries. Sure, Pittsburgh has Crosby and Malkin, but they don't have enough veteran leadership to support them. Gonchar and Guerin are about the best they've got. Detroit, on the other hand, has too much depth for the Pens to handle. Datsyuk and Zetterberg both have enough experience to provide some veteran leadership, but they're also young enough to be a threat to Crosby and Malkin. Then there's Chelios and Lidstrom on the back line; they both have such vast amounts of playoff experience and cannot lightly be thrown aside. Even in his old age, Lidstrom is still a prime candidate for the Norris trophy. The Wings are also getting some unexpected offense from secondary players like Cleary, which has been a big boost in these times of injury. Holmstrom will go to the next and put Fleury off his game.
Detroit Red Wings are always incredible and play a great game, but the Pens are seeking revenge and not to mention if you've payed any attention to how strong, quick and improved Crosby's and Malkin's game is, yeah pretty much they'll take Red Wings in 6. Osgood's not going to know what going on when Malkin and Crosby start popping goals in left and right, not to mention Jordan Staal sitting in front of him.
I don't usually vote for either of these teams, and Pens being my least favorite of the two, they have it this year.
