I have been hitting arrows and notes for more than 10 years

and I'm still not even close to one of the best in FFR community.

Er, try starting with the easy songs and trying to FC them all, moving up from difficulty 1. Instead of playing, like, 11s, play songs that are a little out of your difficulty range and try to figure out what parts you are having trouble with and work on that. If you have a problem with a specific pattern, try watching a replay of your song and pausing when you get there, and then try to get your fingers to do the pattern very slowly, and just speed that up until you can hit the pattern in the song. You can't expect to get better if you don't spend some time here or there working on the stuff that messes you up.

I say it truely depends on having fun playing the game.

If you have fun trying to improve to make your way to the top, and you are not improving, a sad option is to quit. :/

I personally try to improve more, but I really don't improve much, nor quickly, so I have fun just smashing arrows and listening to music I like here on FFR.
