Where does one cross the line when doing community service? Does it happen when the person knowingly does bodily damage to oneself? Or does it happen when you set a hard to reach goal, and then almost complete it twice? Or is there something else?
Last night (6pm-6am) I was at DePaul's Relay for Life. First comment on that, Thanks again for last year, you know who you are
. Second, after setting a pretty decent pace last year walking/running 20 miles last year, I decided to aim for that again this year. I knew this would be pretty easy if I were to walk the whole time as I only went for half the time last year and reached 20. I got my 20 miles at about 2:30, and then continued at my pace for the rest of the night. I don't know if it was because I had nothing better to do, or because I wanted to keep going, or just because, but I went on to almost making 40 miles. I stopped, thankfully, at 37 and 7/8 miles. I understand that this was for a good cause, but I can hardly walk, much less stand, due to all of the blisters all over my feet.
Blah blah blah blah, I just walked about 38 miles for charity and my feet hurt, but that shouldn't really be a surprise.
