Dogpile is slow and doesn't give you what you want, Yahoo is cluttered and doesn't give you what you want, and Ask doesn't give you what you want.
Google gives you what you want.

Actually, I use a little of both.
For the sole purpose of search engine, I use Google 100% of the time. When it comes to quick news though, I'd definitely be on Yahoo for that.
Also, Yahoo came out before Google, which is probably why older generations are more accustomed to using it.

It's because they're smarter than us. They realize that Google is in kahoots with Obama to take off the world. I have their whole master plan figured out. See, Obama is going to just sit there and do nothing his first term until the end he's going to make some kick ass law that we all love. So, for the whole first term he'll be amassing a private account at a bank in another country and saving his earnings up. Then he'll get reelected. He'll do the same thing. Save his money of stuff. Then at the end of his term he'll pass another law. But, this time Obama will pass a decent law to not gain attention and he'll just slide from office. Then, he'll lay low for about 3 months so everyone will forget he's there.
At the same time, Google will be monopolizing the internet. Slowly buying all the small websites. Then the medium ones. Then the big ones. Next, Google will jack the prices for wireless and everyone will be forced back into dial up, but of course by this time they already control the phones, so they can watch everything you do. They're going to save up all the money from franchising the internet.
Finally, Google and Obama will call the current president for lunch in Camp David. They'll gain his trust. He'll dismiss his guards and Google and Obama will kill the president. They will have purchased a private army with 1/3 of their saved money. After the president is dead the private army will go door to door rounding people up and forcing them into slavery to keep Google's menial work going. The normal citizens will be so scared they'll obey Google and Obama.
The only reason I know this is because I was listening atop their lair during the last secret meeting the day before inauguration. The older generations are just more perceptable and can see this catastrophe coming.
