    Need Help with an MP3.

This is what I have. This MP3 is:
    Ipod Shuffle look-a-like.
    only have about/less than 2G

    tl:dr
My friend gave me this because he was just frustrated with it. it's always had problems but I told him I'll look at it (not having any experience to how these things work). First time i got hold of this I tried putting songs in this and it didn't work. So I gave it back to him and eventually he was able to put songs in it. It was a few weeks later that he had gotten a virus on his computer and that's his reasoning to why the MP3 won't work right, So now it's been about two months or so since he had had that Mp3 and he hated it. I told him I'll try to figure it out again and he just gave it to me this time for good.
It looks really good and I want to use it, but I just don't know what to do about this.

Ok now back to the MP3.

What's wrong with it. ( oh where do I begin...)
For controlling this, the buttons are messed up.
    As in:
Top button = enter , It works like it should
    Here's where things get interesting

Left button = Doesn't do anything
    Right button = is Left
    Down button = is Right
It used to work correctly before, but I don't know, its just weird now...

When I try to sync songs in it using WMP, it doesn't quite work, the songs are in the MP3 but they don't play when I try to use it.

Here's the files That are in the MP3, I'm not even sure as to whether they are important or not. Nonetheless, you can't even view what's in them.

    ---

    ---

    ---

What can I do to make this function properly? Do even need the files that are in this? how can I get the controls back to normal?
Or is it to late? Is it like, not fixable anymore?

"Corrupted and unreadable" gives you no choice but to just delete that one folder, if possible.

That's about the first thing I tried to do. It won't let me.

When I try to delete it, it goes to the pop up almost like in the third picture.

        You virus scan your computer?

can I get a model instead of an "Ipod Shuffle look-a-like"? Have you tried formatting it? Has your friend ever heard of a 30 day warranty where he can send it in to the manufacturer and have it fixed/replaced?

            Try downloading unlocker.
Right click and click unlock after you have it installed. Then kill process/unlock or whatever. Not sure if it'll work, but it hasn't failed me yet when I've been given an error trying to delete a file. Worth a try at least.

              mp3 PLAYER.

              MP3 PLAYER.

mp3s are files. Your mp3 player plays mp3s. It is an mp3 player, NOT AN MP3.

Sorry that I can't help though, I just wanted to correct your words.

This makes me imagine you going to a store and saying "Hello, I want to buy an mp3" and the people staring at you like "Uhhh.. okay... have you heard of this thing called iTunes?"
C is for Charisma, it's why people think I'm great! I make my friends all laugh and smile and never want to hate!

There's really nothing I can say about what model it is. The back says nothing, and the front says "Digital mp3 player".
But in the "Edition" it says
                "? Update: 2008/03/31
                Ver: V 1.02"
And that's about all I know about this.
                ---
I've never seen This Format until now... Guess I'll just see what happens after I post this.
                ---
And he's giving me mixed messages. He tells me he bought it "at that one store" (don't know, he won't tell me) and then he tells me that he bought it at Ebay so I really have no idea. I also asked him about the warranty but he never did anything about it. He just tried to figure it out on his own until now, few months later.

If "formatting" doesn't work I'll try this.

Heh, I always assumed it was caps. Learned my lesson.

The caps doesn't matter... it's the same thing.

Turn off hold? When I had an older Mp3 player, hold made the folders inaccessible.
Though the Mp3 player itself sounds really messed up (button wise), perhaps you should think about buying another.

EDIT: Disregard that, not your Mp3 player.
