    Rating system

What in the bloody hell is "tricky" about "for who i am"? And why is Chrystalis House rated "very difficult" yet ff7 is only difficult.

I'm sorry but I would say I'm a standard player and there are so many times where I can beat difficult which is good and all but a lot of the times I find Standard songs harder than anything "difficult" or above OR i find "easy" songs that kick my a$$ in from here to tomorrow and makes me go "well the FIRST arrow was easy". Contradistinction = one heck of a standard. Play that and then "very difficult" Bubbleman stage theme and tell me that's an accurate rating.

Don't get my wrong I'm not complaining about the stepfiles at all but I've found the only way to actually judge what the difficulty of a song is by trial and error. The problems with that is that if it's really easy I can get thru it but i get bored and lazy. Then start another song and I'm off my game. And the songs that I'm just out of touch for I forget about when I improve my skill.

Oh and I cleared my cache so that's not the problem

So, just curious, why don't the players vote the difficulty, do some polls or something, it'd be kinda neat.

well those difficulties were applied to the songs before the harder songs were around, like revo, caprice, etc.

I would be up for a rating change, it think it would be better for new people on the site. Also, for future reference, this should have gone in FFR Gerneral Chat, or FFR Suggestions.

This has always been a huge debate, but let me ask you something. Is this SM? no.... synth will change the scoreing system if he feels it is best for the game and the users, not just to be a poser on another game.

So the rating system is a little off. Oh well, if it bothers you that much, just go play SM. Less competition that way.

I think I already covered this. I'm not saying the rating system is off, this game is terrible. I was pretty thorough on my explanation and examples of how off it is and how I do try to let it go and when and why it doesn't work. Some of you guys just really just love to be the devil's advocate for an argument.

And i never ever said anything about competition, it's about just trying to find some great gameplay and, again, don't really feel like trying to remember which song is "hard" or "harder". In fact i'm making up my own little notecard on song difficulties, I just find it.... humorous i'd have to do so when I'm not really a person who feels like they NEED perfection anyway, specially with games. I still ask, can we get a revamp of some rating systems in some way shape or form or who decided it in the first place?
