    Help with Internet Re-directing

My friend who lives in California was trying to use Yahoo.com's search engine. As he is trying to search something a lot of rapid scenarios happen. He clicks search and then it deviates in several different ways. After he clicks on one of the results one of the scenarios that occur is that an IP address quickly pops up in the tab bar. He took a screen shot of what he likes to call "mid-****ing me over." He was able to screen shot the IP address. He went to an IP finder and comes to find out that the IP address is located in Las Vegas, NV. (He was able to find where the IP was located because the IP finder gave him the latitude and longitude which he was able to enter in Google Earth).

The question is: Has this happened to anyone else? Is a single person purposefully messing with my friend or is this an arbitrary attack? Does the IP have any significance? How do you resolve this problem?

        Re: Help with Internet Re-directing

Obviously it's a massive conspiracy to take over the world, starting with your (friend's) computer.

Even more obvious to anyone with an IQ greater than their age: You're an idiot.

        First,
As he is trying to search something a lot of rapid scenarios happen.
Except you only mention one scenario. An IP pops up. Oh no, someone save us, an IP address oh the horror this must be like hell. What's this about "a lot of rapid scenarios", which doesn't even make sense?

        Second,
He was able to screen shot the IP address. He went to an IP finder and comes to find out that the IP address is located in Las Vegas, NV. (He was able to find where the IP was located because the IP finder gave him the latitude and longitude which he was able to enter in Google Earth).
Because knowing the city an IP address corresponds to is TOTALLY USEFUL. I mean, saying you tracked an IP to Las Vegas is so amazingly specific it will obviously tell us exactly what happened, since proxies don't exist. And what the **** are we supposed to do with a location anyways?

        Third,
Has this happened to anyone else?
No, an IP address in the URL bar for an internet browser totally means your friend just got hacked. http://208.53.158.11 Heads up, if you click that, you'll download like half a million different viruses to your computer, because that's what IP adresses do.

        Last,
Does the IP have any significance?
You're going to die in seven days.

        Also, use Google nub****.

Necamus what the hell is your problem man? Why do you seem to thrive on being a jerk? You took so much time into dissecting my post to separate the quotes and have a little comment for each. If it is something that pisses you off so much why put so much time into it? Because now I am glad that I wasted your time.

              Which one?

              Because I do.

Because ten minutes is SO MUCH TIME.
If it is something that pisses you off so much why put so much time into it?
Because you're dumb and I find mocking you amusing.

Yeah, damn. And the 90 seconds it took me to write this one.. so wasted. Oh well, I think I'll live.

Why don't you go flame people on other forums.
