Help! I need money.

So, my girlfriend is out of town visiting her parents for the weekend, and I forgot she has my debit card.

I was hoping to get some booze and have a late-night snack at Waffle House, but the ATM won't let me enter my account information and apparently nobody is able to just key in the card number since I don't have the actual card.

Needless to say, the banks are closed. I have no food in the house, and my girlfriend won't be back until Monday.

Anyone have any ideas how I can get money from my account?

Edit: Was going to order a pizza, because the place near me doesn't ask for the card, but she came home today anyway. Whoo!

I get free checks if I want... so, yea, good advice from Tass. I'll be ordering some.

write a check and cash it at a check cashing store (or anywhere that'll cash your check... pawn shop, liquor store, etc). you'll lose 5% off it, but at least you'll have cash.

or, you could have an account at a good bank that is open 7 days a week and then you'd be able to withdraw money tomorrow.

I like the check idea, but unfortunately... I don't use checks, so I never ordered any.

Mission failed for tonight. I'll see what I can do tomorrow... but if nothing else, lesson learned for the future

Seriously though you could of called some of your friends or family close by? And tell them your story and ask them for a loan or freeload.

I just remembered somthing. If you order delivery pizza then most places will take your card number and you sign for it when it gets to your house.

Yeah, true. A lot of places that deliver ask for the credit card number before they even get to your house. You kinda need at least a buck to tip the guy, though.

the places ask for your card number... but then when the food arrives, they ask to see the card to verify it's yours.

and, how can you not have checks? 1st order of checks are almost always free at a bank... no reason not to get them, especially when there are occasionally reasons to use them, even when you don't use them (i got my checking account at 16, no reason to use checks, but still wrote 2 checks in about 2 years). if they weren't free... then once again, you have your account at a really crappy bank. look for one with less fees, more free stuff, and 7 day banking.
