continuous suction?

i've seen loads of people do this...

so you have a tube, they suck from one end and magically, there's a tube that sucks continuously from one end. It's like how you siphon gas...

how do you do it? i want to empty my jacuzzi but...there's no drainage hole so i have to take water out from the top. the best way would be to use this kind of continuous suction tube to rid of all the junk that's in there as well.

help anyone?

Siphon it out. Takes longer the smaller the tube you use.

I'm fairly sure that trying to siphon a hot tub won't work.. you need an enclosed space to create an over pressure inside the container. This over pressure pushes the water out until enough space has been made so that the pressure is again equal.

So yeah.. if you can somehow create an (almost) air-tight lid for the hot tub, siphoning won't work, just get a bucket or tip it over if you can.

Siphoning would definitely work. I just did it to empty my fish tank. Sucking in through the tube pulls water through it, when it starts going through the other end it creates a vacuum which sucks the water into the tube to fill up the empty space. You don't need any kind of equal pressure, just a tube. Then all you have to do is create a simple vacuum.

i figured it out myself XD

all you had to do was fill up the tube
+
hold the ends of it
+
put one end in the water
+
put the other end outside the tub though it has to be lower than the tub
+
let go of the end outside of the water

the reason that i can't just suck out the water is that there's too much pressure to suck out all the water. it's like trying to breathe 50 feet underwater through a tube. cant do it.

You sir and or madam fail then. My parents and I siphoned our pool at my old house. It was a good five foot pool. We took a normal garden hose and sucked the one end and presto chango it totally worked!
